I received this email this evening that actually moved me. It’s nice to know that I still inspire people out there.

hi chanel. i just wanted to say thank you for helping me get through tuff times in my life. especially my teenage years. i was 16 when i first started reading your blogs and they have helped me so much. even with my first love. and my insecurities and how i hated how i looked for the longest. but your blog inspired me to hold my head up and keep moving and not care what people think. here it is im 22 now and im married with one child and i couldnt have done it without you. i remeber when you used to post pictures of your daughter tyaisha i think. and i used to wish that i had a mother like you that was so strong. because my mother was never here for me. and niether was my father. i grew up in a foster home . i was in and out alot of them. and i finally just ran away and i got on the computer and just started looking at webpages and stuff i dont know why i just did and i came across and cartoon of you on your page. your earrings were shiny and you had a heart neckalce and i thought she is very pretty . then i started reading your blogs and i went to the library everyday to see what you wrote. you have really helped me out chanel and i thank you so much. thank you because i really really wouldnt have made it without you
