This is too funny. As a typical parent, I snoop in my daughter Tyasia’s email account sometimes. This time, I found a very interesting conversation. Tina is Tyasia’s Asian friend who didn’t pass the CRCTs. The CRCT is a mandatory test that the 3rd and 5th graders needs to take in order to advance onto the next grade. If you fail, you have to go to summer school (which is not free) and take the test over again. If you fail a 2nd time, you get left back. So she’s been acting funky towards people since she found out she failed. Of course Tyasia passed. I love her sass! There’s no denying this is my child (mind you, she’s only 10).

That’s awesome. I’m glad your daughter handled that well. She’s much too smart for that nonsense. Sometimes I wonder how my niece does in school and with other kids. And hope she doesn’t have to deal with drama. But she’s a pretty smart kid and knows how to act.
