I’ll never forget the time when my friend offered to drive me out to Augusta, GA so my daughter can spend time with her father’s side of family. It’s a 2 hour drive. Needless to say, her Honda Civic only lasted about 45 minutes. We ended up breaking down in the 95 degree weather. She didn’t have an extended warranty nor did she have a penny to her pocket to fix the repairs. I was livid! To make matters worse, she told me that her head gasket was in dire need of repair 4 months prior to the incident. How irresponsible is that?
But then I remembered how costly car repairs are and that she blew all of her money the weekend prior to strippers and weed so I digressed. Still irresponsible, but it wasn’t my place to tell her how she should live her life. She should have saved the money that Los Angeles auto repair quoted her when she was on her vacation in California. If you never heard of repairpal.com, it’s a website that you can use to check to see if a body shop didn’t rip you off with the estimate they gave you. Browse and compare. The website also provide a lot of other information about auto repair. It’s always good to have a safety net, in case things doesn’t go as planned.
